Not everyone is a born smart or Genius. As we grow old, we get that funny feeling. There were lot of fights and quarrels , that could have been avoided.
Many things were meaningless. There were not worth dying for.
This is like what they say….Growing up.
There were so many people, whom we met in our adult hood. They left. We moved on.
I remember hearing from my old friends, that time has changed in this generation. Now, I see myself saying it sometime. Actually, nothing has changed. Life , society and world has been like that for so many centuries. Its just the outlook, design , facilities and infrastructure that vary with the time, otherwise, life remains same. Its us , who evolve.
The other thing , which does not change is wisdom. As a child, we read in school,
Honesty is the best policy.
Truth is bitter.
Silence is golden
These old words of timeless wisdom never fade away.
Any philosophy in the has one common drawback, its boring. Great orators , preached and got famous. But, most of them never followed , what they said.
Happiness demands Honesty.
To begin with, a person must be honest with self. Any deed of dishonesty breeds guilt. Guilt forms the death bed for inner peace. So happiness never found a space to live, where inner peace could stay.
An untruthful person, however hard he may pretend, can never be happy.
We see thousands of scoundrels who are successful in worldly means, who made huge fortune out of conceit and bad karma.
An honest person is true to his principle. His faith may be unshaken, but he develops these principles from his study or parenting. His emotional upbringing makes his faith stronger. But his kids , next generation could not understand the rationale behind it.
The path of an honest person is a lonely path.
A constant struggle goes in the silence of his soul. Most of such guys are not successful .
Is still the honesty is best policy ?
I happen to meet vice president of an MNC few years back. He is a dear friend now. He shared his life story with me. His father was at very high position in an Indian state.
An honest person .
Most of his colleagues were easily able to possess a number of bungalows in the state. They used to make fun of his middle class life standards. Many years passed by. The day of retirement came. Many of those colleagues came to him and shared their sorrow.
Due to lots of wealth, their children become lazy and fallen in bad habits.
While, father of my friend retired peacefully, all of his collegues were trying hard to settle their children. But it is very tough to mend ways of grown up brats.
This friend of mine was so proud of his father.
He also followed on his footsteps. He is a devoted parent and a good husband. He is very honest and hard working engineer. during his career, ho got lots of assignments abroad and got many chances to indulge in corruption.
He always followed his principles.Due to spiraling real estate prices, he used to wonder, whether he will be able to make his home. By stroke of luck, he got a piece of land at a very posh place in middle of the city.
He shared many incidents , when some divine power helped him and things happened on its own.
Its my personal experience that Honesty is the best policy.
Life is full of joy and sorrow. If we focus on good karma, the mother nature helps us in mellowing down big dangers in our life.
Though, we never felt them as they never happened, but mother nature maintains the balance. It encourages family happiness, health and relationships in its own way.
