If you’re looking for an incredible wedding photoshoot venue in the Sydney area, quite frankly, you’re spoiled for a myriad of options. Not only are the following wedding venues stunning in their own right, but many of them are famous, too.
We’ve included some photos below but if you want to see more, just head on over to the Perfect Moment website to see more beautiful wedding photoshoots taken from these venues.
1. Le Montage
Le Montage is located on the shores of Iron Cove Bay, overlooking the waterfront. The venue boasts more than ten individual spaces for photoshoots, including several ballrooms, bars, and galleries. Perhaps the venue’s most appealing feature for newlyweds are the impressive views out to sea: the perfect backdrop for wedding photos, both for the married couple and their guests.
Le Montage has done its best to appeal to couples’ sense of romance. The promenade is adorned with fairy lights which twinkle and sparkle at night, and the covered sections of the outdoor terraces provide exceptional sunset views for magical, evening photo sets.
2. Doltone House
Doltone House offers a range of impressive venues in and around Sydney where couples can have high-quality photoshoots with stunning backdrops. Among the Doltone House collection is Jones Bay Wharf, right on the shore of Sydney Harbour Pyrmont, Darling Island, a waterfront venue with views of Sydney Harbour Bridge, and Hyde Park, a contemporary venue with a unique style and floor-to-ceiling windows. Every site offers something distinct and unique in the Doltone House collection, giving couples the choice of both waterfront and city backdrops for their photographs.
3. Intercontinental Double Bay
The five-star intercontinental Double Bay is marketed as one of Sydney’s most elegant bayside retreats. Located in the suburbs of Double Bay, the hotel features stunning architecture, an iconic pool, and impressive views of the nearby bay.
Newlyweds can enjoy photoshoots in several of the hotel’s venues. There’s a grand ballroom with impressive features, a French-style provincial courtyard for views overlooking the gardens, a soft-lit outdoor area for evening photo shoot opportunities, and The Rooftop, a dedicated space overlooking the entire complex that serves cocktails.
4. Dockside Group
The clue to what the Dockside Group offers is in the name. For more than 30 years, the hospitality company has been seeking out venues with stunning waterfront views, making it an excellent place for photos of all kinds, but particularly those of the wedding variety. The company offers venues with impressive Darling Harbour views and provides specialist wedding planners on demand for those who need them.
5. Sergeants Mess
Sergeants Mess is a contemporary wedding venue offering a wide variety of spaces for beautiful photos of couples and wedding-goers. The hotel overlooks Chowder Bay, a spectacular section of coast surrounded by dense woodland and undulating hills. From the venue, you can see Sydney harbour, Cape Cove, Rose Bay, and Watson Bay. The recently renovated interior provides an exceptional space for photography thanks to dramatic mood lighting and exciting interior design features.
Perhaps the standout feature of Sergeants Mess is the privacy that the venue offers. Surrounded by woodland with balconies high above the surrounding landscape, it provides newlyweds with an intimate setting, perfect for a wedding photoshoot.
6. Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley
Although Sydney is a beautiful city, especially the area around the harbour, sometimes it’s nice to get away from all the hustle and bustle and enjoy the surroundings of uninterrupted countryside. The Crown Plaza is an award-winning hotel situated in the Hawkesbury Valley of the Blue Mountains, about a sixty-minute drive from the noise and traffic of downtown Sydney.
The hotel offers a range of relaxed and comforting venues where couples can have photos taken, including both indoor and outdoor areas. Many of the spaces in the hotel complex take advantage of the surrounding stunning scenery. There is a wedding seating area beside the nearby lake (complete with fountain), a courtyard area (again with a fountain in the middle), an outdoor terrace with fairy lights, and plenty of indoor accommodation to meet practically any photo need.
7. Ottimo House Denham Court
Ottimo House Denham Court likes to market itself as Sydney’s “most natural venue” for weddings. By this, they mean a rural (almost rustic) setting with traditional provincial features and up-to-date decor and facilities.
The venue offers a range of extraordinary photo opportunities, thanks to its abundance of vast lawns, freshly-manicured gardens and selection of classic, indoor venue spaces. There’s a ballroom too, with hanging chandeliers, a terrace with views overlooking beautiful woodland, and several decorative features in the gardens, like wagon wheels, where couples can pose in stunning surroundings.
The hotel features traditional colonial architecture, pitched roofs and deep, sweeping verandahs, providing high-quality backdrops that will satisfy even the most discerning of couples.
